Unpacking Curriculum Ideologies in Texas Education

This artifact looks at the TEKS and the A–F Accountability System using Schiro’s curriculum ideologies. I explore how both the Scholar Academic and Social Efficiency perspectives show up in how Texas organizes standards, content, and accountability, and argue that Social Efficiency has the biggest influence on how we teach, assess, and rate schools today.
